Diggin' these Daul Floral shoes. They're an excluisve Pixie Market and Jeffrey Campbell collaboration. The lucite heel is different from anything I own and so is the the floral plastic ankle and front strap. OOPS, there I go again falling in love with something floral.

I don't normally show work on my blog. It's weird I blog and all my life is basically an open book, yet I don't really go in to what I do for a job on here. Maybe I should?
Here's a shoot I did this week. No foundation - just eye make up. Freckles came out for a play!
Hope you're all having a good day!
Over the next month, ten of Australia’s finest fashion bloggers will compete against ten of Britain’s best to see who can win the Next fashion blogger crown for their nation! So rad, right? We were given a Next SS12 item to style. I chose these beautiful floral capri pants (Ditzy Capri pants) as I am having a little bit of a capri pant moment.
Capri pants tend to get a bad wrap. But here I am trying to prove the critics wrong. I chose to take on a Balmain and Balenciaga inspired look giving cropped pants a punk/ biker overtone by pairing them with boots. I was trying to introduce a modern twist on the popular 50's/60's ladylike trend.
I bought this white lace Peter Pan collared top the other week and I have been dying to wear it. The lace detailing added the right amount of texture to my outfit. The weather hasn't been all that kind lately so I have been taking a jacket with me everywhere (yes mum, you'll be so proud). I bought this crisp white blazer on the weekend and I can already see it getting a work out this winter. It's a great structured piece which compliments my pants perfectly.
And that is how you wear capri pants.

Here is some streetstylin' that spoke to me. Not literally of course - but I really liked how these girls styled themselves.
1. I don't think I will ever get sick of the over-sized khaki utility jacket. In fact I have my eye on Stylestalker's new Rebellion Parka. Doesn't it looks so cozy and like you'd be warm for eternity? Am I right people, am I right?
2. This Winter I think it's time for me to finally invest in some leather pants. I've always been too scared that wearing leather pants will be venturing too close to cat-woman territory - but I tried some on about a week ago and I loved them!
3. What a chic look! I love that she introduced a subtle hit of colour! And that bag!!!!
4. I have been obsessing over a pair of brogues like this from ASOS. I think it's the perfect amount of Neon. I love how she has mixed the colours and prints. And I am a BIG fan of Capri pants at the moment so much so, the delivery man just delivered me some! They're floral and they're pretty damn RAD. But I will show you another time.
5. Hello, statement jumper! That is all.6. This outfit is all about mixing textures. Those pants look amazing and even more so because I think they're vintage (correct me If I am wrong).

I have had a fascination with coloured powder/ coloured chalk(?) for a while now. I loved Ksubi's iconic Koloured Denim video and I also really like Nick Thompson's Colourfornia video. When I stumbled across Louis Lander-Deacon's Flickr I fell in love with these photos.
I know there are a lot of photographer's using this technique and it may start to be done to death soon, but something magical comes together when all the colours are infused. It just makes me. feel. happy.
Happy Hump Day lovers!

My spanking new We Are Handsome swimmers stood the test of surfing today. No boobs were popped, no N's were S'ed (if you catch my drift).
Hope you're having a rad weekend!

I found this dress today and I fell so in love with it, I just had to show you straight away!! There is an indescribable feeling when you stumble across a beautiful piece of vintage. It's a different feeling than with normal clothes.
Even though I am so in love - I will be parting with this and it will be on sale at WKB!

Valentina Vos is a Netherlands based photographer. Her work has been featured in the likes of Frankie, Dujour, Bambi, Omit, I Love Fake, Glossy, See Like Me. And it's no wonder. Her photos are stunning. I'm so glad I stumbled across her work because I absolutely love it.
I was drawn to this lot of photos purely because of the name "Alexandra" (I'm sure you all realise that's my full name by now - if you didn't well now you do).
Valentina Vos has a book One Seventy Four - she photographed 23 young models. During these photo-shoots she tried to let the girls be themselves instead of the models they are supposed to be. Almost all photos have been left untouched through out the book - she wanted to showcase natural beauty.
Check out more of her work on her site here

Some really fun/geometric necklaces by Après Ski. I love the shimmering gold and silver against the mother of pearl, the soft pale blue and the deep pink. This collection seems to be priced well at around ₤40 - I was totally surprised with this price, so this make me like them that little bit more! The diamond shaped necklace (bottom right image) is their take of an ice-cream!

Florals are fast becoming a regular print in my wardrobe! If you had have asked me a year or two ago if i'd wear them all the time I would have said no as I felt too girly and prissy when I wore them. If I did wear floral prints I had to team them with something "grungey". Now I love feeling polished. And I love wearing a dress and heels or tailored pants, structured top and heels.
I picked up these heels today. I was looking for some heels to wear to my brother wedding. It's a vintage wedding and it's on property so stilettos would have got me weeding rather than walking. These floral wedges are absolutely perfect for the occasion. I didn't go shopping with a set idea as I knew I'd look past something beautiful if I had a particular colour in mind. These were so cheap too, as Steve Madden had a 25% sale today!! Love a bargain!
Hope you've all had an awesome weekend!

Here's some snaps of me looking all smart n' stuff in my bow tie. Charlie Chaplin would be so jealous right now.
Have a rad weekend! I had a massive day working (shooting). The photographer was lovely and the clothing the stylist pulled was so pretty. But way too hot for today's heat. I went out for tapas and wine tonight and am just about to watch movies but I wanted to do a really quick post cos I've been slack lately!
